How does a cheekbone filler treatment work?
Filling the cheekbones is done with a Radiesse filler or hyaluronic acid filler. The practitioner will tailor the treatment based on your desired result and the natural shape of your face. First, the practitioner will examine your face to determine where the fillers will be injected.
In most cases, a cannula is used. A cannula is a blunt needle that allows the filler to be precisely placed in the right spot. Your cheeks might also need some volume. Sunken cheeks can be treated with fillers. This treatment can be combined with cheekbones, making you look younger right away.

Result of Cheekbone Fillers
You will immediately see volume in the cheekbones, meaning the filler has done its job! The volume is also partly due to slight swelling. Fortunately, you can reduce swelling by cooling it well, for example with a cold pack. In the following days, the swelling will decrease, and you will see the results better. The optimal result is visible after two weeks, with the Radiesse filler lasting 9 to 12 months.
The fillers Belotero and Juvéderm are visible for 6 to 9 months. If you are not satisfied with the result, you can come back for a follow-up appointment two weeks after the treatment. If you seem to have bags under your cheekbones, you can consider whether a tear trough filler is right for you. The tear troughs are filled with fillers for a fresh look. Cheekbone Fillers Aftercare
Within 48 hours after the treatment, you should not massage or rub the injected area. It is possible that bruising and swelling have occurred, which will disappear within a day to a few days.
We advise against lying in direct sunlight or visiting the sauna or sunbed. UV exposure can be extra sensitive for the skin and affect the treatment’s results. A few hours after the treatment (once the injection holes are closed), you can camouflage the areas with makeup.
